Writing — practise messages and forms (A2)
Writing is a separate part of the integration exam: short, practical texts such as an informal email, a form, a short message or a short description. Here you practise those forms and get instant AI feedback on word order, de/het, verb spelling and completeness.
Each task is a different text type — a letter, e-mail, essay, review or announcement each has its own rules, so the AI checks your text against the rules of its form. Every task's type is shown on a badge.
Pick a task and write your text — you get AI feedback straight away:

Writing (Schrijven) consists of short, everyday tasks at A2 level: filling in a form, writing a short message or e-mail, or completing a few sentences. The situations are ones you actually meet in the Netherlands — rescheduling an appointment, informing a school, replying to an invitation.
What counts is completing the task fully: covering every point asked for, using the right form (greeting and sign-off in a message) and writing understandable Dutch. Perfect grammar is not required at A2 — being clear and complete is.
How the AI grading works
Write your text and submit it. You get a scored breakdown with an explanation for each area, a list of the mistakes found with corrections, and a model answer to compare your own text against.
The points in this exercise are our own practice scale for showing progress — not an official result.
Practice is free and no account is needed — the site has no registration. Your browser first runs a short background check that you are not a bot.
Frequently asked questions — writing
What kind of texts will I write?
Short, practical texts at A2 level: filling in a form, writing a message or e-mail, and completing sentences. No long essays.
How long should my text be?
As long as the task requires. Covering every point asked for and using the right form matters more than the word count.
Does my Dutch have to be flawless?
No. At A2 you may make mistakes as long as your message is clear. The feedback shows which mistakes you make most often so you can practise them specifically.
Can I practise for free?
Yes, free and without registration — a quick check that you are not a bot is enough. Signed-in users skip that check.
Does this help with the Reading part too?
Indirectly, yes: the same words and sentence patterns come back in Reading. For targeted practice, use the practice exam.
